- •3 large, very ripe bananas
Instructions
- 1.Peel the bananas and slice them into 1/2-inch thick coins.
- 2.Arrange the banana slices in a single layer on a parchment-lined baking sheet or plate.
- 3.Freeze for at least 4 hours, or until completely solid.
- 4.Transfer the frozen banana slices to a high-speed blender or a food processor.
- 5.Blend, stopping to scrape down the sides as needed. The mixture will first look crumbly, then gooey, and finally it will whip into a smooth, creamy soft-serve consistency.
- 6.Serve immediately for a soft-serve texture, or transfer to a freezer-safe container and freeze for another hour for a firmer, scoopable 'ice cream'.
